Grand Theft Auto 5 coming to PS4, XBox One, and PC

In an article posted on the Rockstar Games website, GTA5 will be released this fall for PS4, Xbox One, and for those who don't want to buy another gaming system, PC!  According to Rockstar Games, GTA5 will "take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California."

I personally can't wait to play it on my PC as I'm a huge fan of the GTA series but don't really want to shell out the extra cash for another game system. See you all online, at least on the PC side! -Kevshiro

6 games I hope to see at this year's E3

Another year, another E3, hopefully this time around, this will be a E3 to remember.

The purpose of this article is for me to share my "hopes" of what is shown at next week at E3 and nothing more......so please enjoy.

The Legend of Zelda Wii U:

There's no surprise that the Wii U is Nintendo's biggest disappointment at the moment. But there's still hope for the system. All Nintendo has to do is first; fire the president, Satoru Iwata and then release games that will appeal to their adult market. A brand new, The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U will definitely fill that void, let's just hope Nintendo is smart enough to announce the game at this year's E3.

Dead Space 4

Dead Space was definitely one those titles that came out of no where, I mean it gave the Resident Evil series a run for its money seeing how the first game had more scares in it than Resident Evil 5. But seeing how this series is under the EA umbrella, it's very doubtful we might hear anything else on series, because suits over at EA are ready to cut an entire series off if it doesn't sell millions of copies. But I hope EA brings the series back, so the fans can enjoy the next chapter of Dead Space on next generation platforms.

Resident Evil 7

Capcom has truly lost their way on what to do with Resident Evil series. Resident Evil 5 and 6 were abysmal to the series because both took the action route and completely abandoned the game's survival horror roots. It took games like Outlast and The Last of Us to convince the company that their was still a huge market for survival horror games. So here we are with Resident Evil 7, which I think shouldn't even be called RE 7, but just Resident Evil signifying that they're rebooting the entire series. Hopefully they will announce something at this year's E3, because this poster looks pretty legit to me.

Metroid Wii U

Like The Legend of Zelda, Nintendo needs to release a brand new Metroid game for the Wii U. These are the only two titles that will appeal to their adult audience and they needed to announce these titles like yesterday. Make it happen Nintendo.

Star Fox Wii U

This is an extremely long shot, but Star Fox 64 has to be one the greatest games ever made. So please Nintendo, get your head out of your asses and make this happen!!!

Syphon Filter PS4

I love espionage games and the Syphon Filter series was definitely underrated. They're rumors going around already that Sony is getting ready to bring the series back to the limelight and seeing how E3 is right around the corner is making me get goosebumps all over.

Batman: Arkham Knight pushed back into 2015

Another one bites the dust......This is getting ridiculous, Warner Bros and Rocksteady Games has just announced that Batman: Arkham Knight will miss its October 16th, 2014 release and make its debut sometime next year. Whether that's early next year or next October has yet to be confirm.

This is extremely disheartening news seeing how Sony's; The Order 1886 and Microsoft/Remedy's; Quantum Break both have been pushed into next year along with (now) Batman: Arkham Knight.

This year was really suppose be the time to showcase what these next gen systems are all about and the only thing that has been proven to the consumer is how these game developers and publishers can delay their titles.

Update:

Adding insult to injury, Warner Bros has just released a brand new trailer showing us the Battle Mode of  the Batmobile. I guess this is their way of trying to ease the disappointment for delaying their title.

New Trailer for Homefront: The Revolution

Developer Crytek UK have just spilled the beans on their new title Homefront: The Revolution, that will be released next year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.  Check out the press release and trailer below:

Wage guerrilla warfare and reclaim the streets of Philadelphia in "Homefront: The Revolution" – a captivating new free roam FPS to be co-published by Crytek and Deep Silver.
Coming to Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4, PC, Mac and Linux in 2015, Homefront: The Revolution throws players into a near future dystopia where catastrophic events have brought the USA to its knees and enabled North Korean forces to impose a brutal military occupation. Trapped in this American nightmare, Philadelphia – Birthplace of Independence – has become a police state, where surveillance drones and armored patrols keep her once-proud citizens at heel, crushing any dissent with savage force.

To overcome their oppressors, players will have to engage in guerrilla warfare and use ambush, infiltration and hit and run tactics in thrilling un-scripted firefights. At every turn they'll find a sprawling city, in which recruiting fellow revolutionaries and building improvised homebrew weapons are just two of the keys to creating a powerful resistance force.

Hasit Zala, Game Director at Crytek, said: "Homefront: The Revolution stands out from the crowd by immersing players in a world where they'll feel emotionally compelled to fight for their freedom. We're very excited to work with Deep Silver and deliver an experience that underlines Crytek's commitment to quality whilst tapping into the huge potential we saw when we first acquired the Homefront IP."
Homefront: The Revolution represents the first time Crytek and Deep Silver have worked together, with the two partners collaborating to release the game as part of a co-publishing arrangement.
"Crytek has an outstanding track record of creating AAA action games. Homefront is a fascinating IP with huge global potential. With Crytek’s technical pedigree and Deep Silver’s publishing expertise we will take the IP to new heights." says Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver’s mother company Koch Media.
Developed by Crytek's Nottingham studio, Homefront: The Revolution harnesses the latest features of Crytek's CRYENGINE technology. On the ground, players will encounter an environment that looks and feels truly alive as day turns to night and storm clouds come and go – an authenticity that extends to the strikingly lifelike expressions, skin and clothing of everyone they encounter.
To find out more about the Homefront: The Revolution, and to watch an all-new trailer showing the game in action, visit www.homefront-game.com.

Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Superheros coming Autumn 2014

I can't say I've played any game of the Infinity toy line.  You know the ones I mean, the ones that you usually pass by in the video game section of your favorite store, that have a bunch of different Disney figures and when you place them on a special playmat, they do something cool on the screen.  Now that they're doing a Marvel storyline for their Infinity figures featureing the Avengers team, Spiderman, and the upcoming Gaurdians of the Galaxy.  Maybe I'll be grabbing some to try out. For science.  You can check out more info, as I did, about Disney Infinity here. Happy Gaming! - Kevshiro

Evil Within delayed until October 21st, 2014

It really upsets me when game developers/publishers delay their titles. For example, they can show you a cool title this year and everyone expects it to come out the next and when the time finally comes around, gamers are constantly disappointed that the title isn't coming out until the following year.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is now available

The Wolfenstein series holds a very special place in my heart as it was the very first 3D shooter that I played on an old crappy PC possibly in MS-DOS.   While I haven't played them all, this next version looks really great.

I remember playing Wolfenstein 3D and thinking, wow, this game is such a great change from the normal side scrolling or birds eye view type games.  Plus, when you shoot the Nazi bad guys they bleed and if I get shot, my image at the bottom shows me bleeding.  How cool.  Hey I was 10 or so and was into anything bloody.

Nowadays though, you can play Wolfenstein 3D over the internet and not really have to worry about graphics cards or messing up your floppy disks for those who were born before the 90's.   Play Wolfenstein 3D here and be ready to have your mind blown with superb gameplay and awesome graphics.

The story for the new Wolfenstein: The New Order goes like this:
Europe, 1946. World War II rages across Europe. Where once the Allies pressed advantage, the Nazi forces have turned the tide in dramatic fashion behind the technologically advanced war machine of General Wilhelm Strasse -- Deathshead. When a final Allied assault on Deathshead's compound fails, the Allies’ greatest hope falls with it.

Europe, 1960. The war is over. And the Nazis are triumphant victors. Using unrelenting force and brutal intimidation, the Nazis have brought even the most powerful nations to their knees. The Nazi regime now rules the globe with an iron fist.

You are Captain B.J. Blazkowicz, the American War Hero. After emerging into this world of darkness, you must launch an impossible counter-offensive against the monstrous Nazi regime. Only you dare stand up against an unstoppable army of Nazi robots and hulking Super Soldiers. Only you can stop Deathshead. Only you can rewrite history.

Can I play, Daddy?
I am Death Incarnate,
I think I'll be getting the Wolfenstein: The New Order and continuing the story, hopefully they kept the same great gameplay and the changing faces at the bottom of the screen, showing you how much damage you've taken.  Such great memories. - Kevshiro

So how about you?  Are you a baby or are you Death Incarnate?
