DC Collectibles Batman: Lil Gotham: Batman Mini Action Figure Review

Of all the digital-first comics that DC Comics has offered over the last few years, Li'l Gotham has been my favorite (maybe tied with Injustice: Gods Among Us). The holiday themed tales involving the whole Bat-Family are just pure joy. It spends a little less time focusing on Batman's quest for justice and a lot more on his role as a father figure to Robin, Red Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, Katana, Batgirl, and anyone else that ever trained under him. There was also quite a bit of focus on Alfred and Jim Gordon as father figures. They were definitely stories I can see myself one day sharing with my children. As far as I'm concerned, it's some of the best all-ages Batman stories ever done, so when DC Collectibles announced they were doing a line of Li'l Batman figures, I was very excited.

DC Comics Multiverse Robin and Red Hood Action Figure Review

One of the things I love about Batman is the fact that he has so many cool sidekicks/partners. As a toy collector, I love being able to put together of group of members for the "Bat-Family". I have a pretty good set up of all the comic versions of the various members, but I've been interested in doing something similar for the Arkham video game series versions of the characters. I really like many of the designs used in the games and I think many of them translate well into action figures.

Bandai Tamashii Nations D-Arts Mega Man Action Figure Review

I am a huge fan of the old Nintendo Entertainment System and many of the great games that were available for it. Some of my favorite franchises where Super Mario, Zelda (yes I like part 2 also), Contra, Double Dragon, and of course, Mega Man. I have to confess, I never had the first Mega Man, just parts 2 and 3, but I did have a friend who owned it that let me borrow it for a weekend so I only ever played it a little bit. With a NES emulator loaded onto my computer, hopefully I can change that soon. The two games I did have, however, I completely loved.

Game of Thrones Legacy Collection Series 2 - Khal Drogo Action Figure Review

It would be difficult for me to name an show that I've enjoyed more  than Game of Thrones. At first it would seem like a show with so many characters and storylines would be off putting, but it's quite the contrary. Each character is very well fleshed out in a relatively short amount of screen time and the stories are all interwoven in a very intricate way. The characters all have their own personal motives that aren't always clear cut. It's not simply a matter of dividing each into a role of either a "good guy" or "bad guy" (except Joffery, he's pure evil), each person has a reason for what they do.
