Top 40 Toy Finds of October: 11 thru 15

TOP 40 NEW TOY FINDS OF THE MONTH OF
OCTOBER 2014
(11 thru 15)

At the end of each month I, Brunpuppies, will put together a list of the toys that I acquired over the course of the month. The number of entries will differ depending on just how many toys I got in that month. The order of the list will be based purely on my personal opinion of the items and is in no way definitive. I'm sure you the reader will have you own favorites and I am open to hearing about them in the comments section.

Freedom Funnies for the 4th of July

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and that means it's time to celebrate the birthday of the greatest country in the history of the world! There is no country as ass-kickingly awesome as the good ol' U.S. of A. If you've got a problem with it, why don't you go live in Korea, you know, the one with the goofy dictator that look like the the kid from the Pixar movie, UP.

This Independence Day we fire-up our grills to burn some burgers, drink our watered-down beers, and risk blowing our fingers off with fireworks as a thank you to our forefathers for creating a nation were we can do what ever the damn hell we want. And be sure that ever morning, while you're eating you bacon with a side of bacon and drinking your coffee, that you give thanks that we're not stuck having tea and crumpets under the rule of some goofy sounding Brits.

Figma Captain America up for preorder.

The Good Smile Figma Captain America is up for pre order and it looks pretty damn good.  It's too bad that is is another in a long like of figures that I would love to have, but the price is just too high for me to consider.  Paying $50 to $60 for a 6 inch tall action figure is a bit hard to swallow, even for one this nice.  Plus, once you get one Avenger, you have to get them all and I'm sure once Hulk comes out, he'll be $75+.

Info from the Good Smile website:

The third in the figma Avengers series - Captain America!

From the film 'The Avengers' comes a figma of Captain America!
  • Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
  • Great attention has been given to the smallest of details and painting of his armor, giving the figma a heavy, metallic appearance.
  • Careful thought has gone into the articulation of the chest and other areas, keeping the Captain's unique style in mind and still allowing for various action poses.
  • A number of hand parts as well as his impenetrable shield are included.
  • Like figma Thor, his eyes are moveable allowing you to change the direction he is looking.
  • An articulated figma stand is included, allowing various poses to be taken.
Hobby Search seems to have the best price right now.
