The first series of Nicktoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures was surprisingly good when it first came out. It was great to get entirely new and unique sculpts for each Turtle. There was much more detail than the later figures and the articulation was better than the rest of the line. Another big plus is that the figures are relatively inexpensiveness when compared to other toy lines so the prospect of buying duplicates to customize was much more cost effective.
When it comes to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I have a hard time picking a favorite Turtle. I guess it really depends on the version of the green teens we're talking about. From the first movie and 2007's TMNT, my favorite would have to be Raphael. From the original cartoon show, I'd go with Michelangelo. As for the arcade and NES games, as well as the new IDW comic, I'd say Leonardo. With the Nicktoon, Donatello has risen to the top. With any version, I've always loved the dynamic between all four.
It's Sunday and the weather is getting warmer so that means it's flea market and yard sale season. For a collector, there are plenty of treasures to be found amongst the aisles and driveways filled with junk and old unwanted items. Today I went to my local Lion's Club Flea Market that is held twice a year, once in the spring, once in the fall in my town of Kingston, MA. It's a very modest size event and the participants typically consist of people that are just cleaning out their homes as opposed to vendors that make any sort of living off of selling their goods.
