Great news for Jaeger and Kaiju fan, Guillermo del Toro has announced plans to go forward with a Pacific Rim sequel. Not only that, but there is a animated series in the the works and a comic book. The first movie did modestly in the U.S. ($101.8 million), but did very well worldwide ($411.0 million). Right now they are looking at April 7, 2017 as a release date.
