X-Men Marvel Legends Will NOT Be a Toys R Us Exclusive

A little over a week ago we got our first glimpse at some new X-Men Marvel Legends and now we learn that they will be a Toys R Us exclusive.  (UPDATE: It turns out that it is NOT a Toys R Us exclusive and will also be available through online vendors.) We also have the first official images including packaging shot.  The figures include:

  • Wolverine (unmasked)
  • Cyclops (Marvel Now costume)
  • Storm  (Marvel Now costume)
  • Magneto (Original costume)
  • Stryfe
  • Jubilee (Build-a-Figure)

The way the build-a-figure is broken up is completely bizarre.  Wolverine gets nothing (which removes most people's reason for even getting him) and Storm gets the whole damn body! She doesn't even fit right in the package because of it.  It's just strange.  Anyway, here are the pictures:

  1. That's just really odd. Not only does storm get the body but also the legs as well? Very strange way of doing the build a figure. Isn't the whole point of the build a figure to get a character that is too big to stick in one box hence you have to build it in pieces.

  2. This is not a TRU exclusive, it's a Shared 'previews' exclusive. So Dorksidetoys.com Entertainment Earth and others have it listed and have checked with them. http://www.dorksidetoys.com/marvel-legends-carded-s/1840.htm

    1. It's too bad the prices are terrible for these. $26-$28USD is way too high. It looks like I'll have to skip this whole wave just the the Wolverine exclusive series.

    2. I agree, those prices suck. Hasbro and those sites are trying to milk way too much money out of some unspectacular looking figures. If they are available at a cheaper price in a brick-and-mortar store I might consider a few. The Stryfe at very least.
