I have to be honest, it's been a loooong time since I've watched the Simpsons. It's not that I'm not a fan, in fact I really use to love the show, it's that I just kind of maxed out on it. I think I must have watched every episode of the first 15 seasons at least a half dozen times, partially due to the fact that Fox would air the show about 4 times a day. So even having missed the last 6+ seasons of the show, I have probably spent more time watching the Simpsons than anything else, ever. I've been wanting to get back into the show, but I've just kind of been putting it off.
This Sunday, something is happening that has pulled me back in.
Not only is it the Simpsons' 550th episode (holy crap that's a lot), but the show is getting Legofied! In the episode called The Simpsons Lego Spectacular, Homer will be popping between the 2D and Lego World. Considering the Lego Move is one of my favor movies of that last year, not to mention that fact that I love the toys, I'm pretty damn excited about this. I will definitely be watching this on Sunday.
It's a little strange that they are not using the looks of the actual Simpsons Lego toys, but I prefer the look of the show. I've never been a huge fan of the sculpted Lego heads, like the aesthetic of the propane tank shaped heads.
